Could you hold my better day in your safe hands?
Could you wrap my broken heart in cotton wool?
Could you stand instead of me in the firing line?
Could you fall down first to break my clumsy fall?
Would you lock my future plans in a safe place?
Would you safeguard my trust for another day?
Would you wipe my tears away and comfort me?
Would you hold my colours while I live in grey?
Can you whisper in my ear that there is hope?
Can you calm me when my emotions overflow?
Can you keep me in your thoughts on my bad days?
Can you bandage me when the pain begins to show?
Could you be my future when I have none?
Could you stay with me until I go to sleep?
Would you be the constant in my changing world?
Would you be the one thing I feel I can keep?
Please hold my better day in your safe hands
Please
